Prior to the Le Grand model there was a model made specifically to guitarist's Johnny Smith specs. This to many is Gibson's perfect jazz archtop model. This particular one was made by Gibson master luthier, the late-great James Hutchins. It was very-well cared for. Floating Johnny Smith pickup, pickguard control and jack. Optimal for acoustic sound which translates when plugged in. The guitar has some light surface marks. There are a couple stand discolorations on the bottom and very minimal finish loss near the bottom strap button. The tortoise pickguard is off-gassing as per usual.
