Master label signed by James Hutchins (Hutch). This finish is the most uncommon of all. This model was essentially a continuation of the Johnny Smith. These were slightly fancier but most specs are very similar besides L-5 scale. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIntroduced in 1993, Gibson's LeGrand model draws inspiration from the two most highly prized archtops of the 20th century, the L-5 and the Johnny Smith. The direct successor to the legendary Johnny Smith model, the LeGrande features the comfortable, slightly slimmed 3\" body, and warm, X-braced soundboard of its famed predecessor. From the classic L-5, the Le Grand borrows the long 25 1\/2\" scale for snap and projection, as well as the nimble 1 11\/16\" fingerboard. The result is an instrument that combines the best of Gibson's most influential acoustic archtop guitars.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis particular example is in very good plus condition with some light playwear over the years. There are a couple small wear marks on the top and some light finish marks as shown but overall it's very presentable. The labels are both intact but the ink has faded although still visible.
