Really nice example by Fender Masterbuilder Mark Kendrick. The guitar is in excellent condition overall with some light dings and scratches as shown. The guitar is a Closet Classic so there are some light traces of wear from the factory but this generally means that Fender was going for a very well-preserved original example. The case handle is split in the middle but works fine. A key collaborator of Leo's throughout the 1950s, their next project - a follow-up to the Telecaster - was a 3-pickup solidbody, destined to become the Stratocaster. The Strat went on to be a musical and cultural icon, seeing time in the hands of countless guitar heroes. The one piece '57-style soft V-shaped maple neck has a lacquer finish and a 7.25\" radius maple fingerboard.
