With that in mind, this one sports a premium Torrefied Adirondack top with timeless Herringbone purfling. Since we were ordered the finest top wood Collings offers, we wanted to make sure we got the most out of it, so we asked Collings to used Adirondack Spruce for all of the braces and to remove the tongue brace. The result is a top that sounds broken-in, like a seasoned vintage guitar. Even though this guitar is brand new, its tone sounds developed and refined, and it is also deeply responsive, allowing your picking dynamics to push the tone where you want it to go.
