While at Gibson for the refinish the guitar was stamped with a 1968 serial number. At this point in the late '60s the guitar was still sporting the original trapeze tailpiece\/bridge.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eFast forward to 2008 when the guitar was brought into our repair shop to have the Tune-o-matic\/Stop Tailpiece conversion done, along with a refret and neck reset in order to accomodate the '55 bridge specs. The guitar feels and plays great, exactly as you would expect the sort of gold standard in Les Paul specs.
