Sergio Tezanos just might be the most talented of the famous Tezanos family of luthiers. He is the grandson of Mariano Tezanos Sr., the famous maker of many of the finest Ramirez guitars of the '60s, and the nephew of Mariano Tezanos, with whom he spent many years working. At present, Sergio is the only remaining Tezanos who still builds. For the past decade, he has been regularly commissioned by Paulino Bernabe to make many of the pricey Bernabe Imperial models. This guitar is a fine example of Sergio's Madrid model which, along with the Maria model, figures as his top-of-line guitar with the finest woods and internal design features.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe sound of this guitar is extremely smooth, silky, balanced, lyrical, and open with solid projection, sustain, and focus. This particular Indian rosewood contributes to the dense and rounded shape of the notes which are nevertheless quite clear.
