A great sounding and playing mid-'60s P bass (neck dated JAN66), and one with almost all its original parts. Original finish throughout, with original tuners, pickups, pickguard, and case. However some changes were made, and some later reversed, as outlined below:
Has 1970s pots, shielding paint was added to controls cavity, previous owner had added Hipshot tuners, but had those removed and original tuners reinstalled at Gryphon. The small hole in back of headstock is from a strap button that was later removed. There are 3 small holes added to the top, and one similar hole at edge of the pickguard. While there is some edge wear to the body as shown in photos, the sunburst finish on top and back, and the finish on the neck, are in excellent condition. Wear to original frets is light.
