This is one of those guitars that immediately stands out for all the right reasons. The finish color is excellent, but the real star of the show is the fantastic vintage-looking flame top. There is so much character in the figuring that it almost looks like an actual old Burst. From some angles the top appears relatively subtle and understated, while from others it absolutely comes alive with dramatic flame and movement. That inconsistency is exactly what many collectors look for, as it is highly reminiscent of the tops seen on original late-'50s Bursts.

If you're searching for a modern Custom Shop Les Paul with a truly convincing vintage aesthetic, this is a great example. The top has depth, character, mineral streaking, and movement that photographs beautifully while still maintaining an authentic look.

Condition is excellent overall. The only notable flaw we found is a very small finish flake near the output jack. It's minor, does not affect functionality, and could easily be touched up if desired. Aside from that, the guitar is in remarkably clean condition and presents as a very well-cared-for instrument with minimal signs of use.

As expected from this era of Gibson Custom Shop production, the guitar features all the great vintage-inspired specifications that have made these recent reissues so popular. It plays effortlessly, sounds excellent, and has the comfortable slimmer neck profile associated with the 1960 model.
