Boucher Studio Goose Madagascar OM Hybrid Natural, 2013 [USED]

The Boucher Studio Goose Madagascar OM Hybrid combines aspects of the OM and 000 bodies with a 25.5 inch scale, giving better low end power and responsiveness. 

This example dates to 2013 and was built at the Boucher shop in Berthier-sur-Mer, QC.  It is in very good, clean condition with minor fret wear and a few small bumps and dents in the finish.  

The original Boucher-branded tweed hard shell case is included, containing the original tuner buttons, bridge pins and warranty cards. 

Materials and Construction

Boucher focuses on the use of AAA-grade Adirondack Red Spruce for tops and bracing, and that happens to be a local species where these guitars are built.  The sides and back of this guitar are Madagascar Rosewood; the body blocks, linings and neck are Mahogany.  The bridge and fingerboard are Ebony; the position marker dots are Abalone and the headstock Boucher logo is Mother of Pearl.  The top has a faux-tortoise teardrop style pickguard and Herringbone purfling is used around the top and as the center ring of the rosette. At the tail, there is a flamed maple insert and the body binding is Maple. 

For hardware, Boucher-branded gold coloured tuners are installed and here, the buttons have been changed to Ebony.  An L R Baggs transducer and pre-amp set was installed after initial purchase, with the controls under the bass side of the soundhole and the battery pack on the neck block.
