Late 1950s Gibson J-45 with all the right things going on. Big, punchy response with a dry, woody edge and plenty of headroom. This one’s got a particularly nice neck carve too, sits well in the hand.
Brazilian rosewood bridge has been lightly shaved at some point and likely removed and re-seated in its life. Saddle and nut have been replaced. There’s some old overspray to the top, most likely done years ago to blend a couple of crack repairs. All stable and nothing unsightly.
Neck heel has had a minor crack repair carried out in-house, cleanly done and not something you’d pick without being told. Original maple bridge plate is still present, reinforced with a rosewood strip.
Neck angle is solid, break angle is healthy. This is one of vintage J-45s that just feels alive in your hands, with a responsiveness and depth that makes you loose hours messing around with just 2 chords...
