This Collings 01 Traditional is a wonderful, easy playing guitar that brings with it some serious tone. Featuring a Sitka spruce top over a beautiful set of Honduran mahogany back and sides, this vintage-inspired small body guitar is responsive, ringing out with the lightest touch from a flat pick or when played fingerstyle. The 14-fret Traditional neck provides access to the higher frets, while still bringing a comfy playing experience. Speaking of the neck, this 01T features the T-Bar style adjustable truss rod that comes standard on Traditional series builds.
The Traditional Series is marked by a return to just that, traditional building techniques and materials combined with the Collings exquisite attention to detail. This vintage-inspired series is highlighted by traditional style bracing and tone woods which are adjusted, weighed and voiced to produce particularly warm, rounded highs while maintaining a full, rich low end. The extra thin Nitrocellulose lacquer finish, applied without a polyvinyl sealer, makes for a lively, expressive top that has the feel of an old vintage guitar.
