This Collings CJ35 A SB acoustic has an outstanding presence and tone, with a vintage, pre-war '30s voice, due in part to its non-scalloped, three tone bar Adirondack braces. Couple all that with an Adirondack Sunburst top and Mahogany back and sides, and you've got a guitar capable of delivering a powerful range, full of rich, dense bass, clear, pristine highs, incredible projection, and everything in between. Both strummers and fingerstyle players alike will really dig its earthy timbre, and its sustain and resonance are immeasurable.

It has a slightly shorter scale (24 7/8") and a more spacious neck profile, as well as 1 3/4" nut width and 2 5/16" string spacing, all of which make it an insatiably comfortable player. The neck has been adopted from larger vintage style profiles and further contributes to its big, beautiful sound. Here in a slope shouldered jumbo dread, the CJ gives you the versatility to bring to life any jam a player needs - from blues to bluegrass, from country to rock.

The impeccable build quality on this guitar is to be expected from Collings, but we're still blown away by how the men and women there have perfected construction. Its sunburst top is simply stunning and is offset nicely with the Tigerstripe celluloid pickguard and ivoroid binding. Inspired by our owner Jim's favorite vintage Gibson J-35, loaned to Bill Collings during the developmental stages, this Collings CJ35 A SB guitar is seriously one of our favorite newer model acoustics on the market. Includes a deluxe Collings hardshell case and setup to your specs from one of our luthiers.
