This new Collings D1 VN is a responsive sounding dreadnought with a few custom Mass Street ordered features. Here with a Sitka Spruce top, and Mahogany back and sides, both of which are absolutely gorgeous sets of wood, this D1 sports that big, dynamic Collings sounds that we love. It's been constructed without a tongue brace, with upgraded Adirondack bracing, reminiscent of our favorite vintage guitars, allowing the top to really resonate. The neck has also been upgraded to the Collings "Vintage Now" spec, which delivers a comfortable 1 3/4" nut width and 2 5/16" string spacing, making it great for flatpicking fiddle tunes, or strumming out Country Western ballads.
