This Collings D2H Madagascar Rosewood MRA VN guitar, serial# 24037, features spectacular and increasingly rare Madagascar Rosewood back and sides with an Adirondack Spruce top - the sound is big and bold with real depth and clarity. This is a square-shouldered, 14-fret dreadnought that, with these woods (hand chosen and matched for this instrument by Collings' Bruce Van Wart) takes it all to another level. Those who play with vocalists and bluegrass players needing real power will both find this to be an exceptional guitar for gigging, as will any guitarist who loves a lively, bold sound with some warm gravitas.

This D2H has a 25 1/2" scale length and 1 3/4" bone nut and all the excellent details you'd expect in a Collings acoustic. The neck is made from Mahogany and has Collings' Vintage Now profile for an extra comfortable player, and the truss rod is fully adjustable. The Ebony fingerboard has 20 frets and mother of pearl diamond and square inlays. The Ebony bridge is also in the Vintage Now style, and has a drop-in bone saddle with 2 5/16" string spacing.

Gorgeous appointments are here too like the Herringbone trim with matching 2-style backstrip, grained Ivoroid binding, a high gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish, a tortoise-style celluloid pickguard, and a cross-cut grained Ivoroid and wood nitrate strip rosette.
