This Jet BlackCollings City Limits delivers some serious sustain and classic vibes from the Texas builder. A custom order here at the shop, this CL is a nod to a particular vintage LP Custom, bringing the relatively unique Staple/P-90 pickup duo into the modern era. This pickup combination works wonderfully with the mahogany cap over the mahogany body, for more midrange and woody crunch than a maple top, but still preserving the top-end clarity thanks to the Staple pickup in the neck. The nickel hardware makes for a more subdued look, putting the focus on the guitar itself, with the ivoroid binding accentuating the Collings solid-body shape.
