This Collings D1 A Hill Country represents a new line of vintage-inspired guitars from the crew at Collings down in Austin, TX. The Hill Country models feature a dry, focused and direct sound, with a really fundamental response to the string, making this new guitar a flatpicking canon. There are almost no overtones present in this particular D1, allowing it to fit in an ensemble and really cut through a mix.
This Hill Country model was featured at the 2024 Fretboard Summit and we feel fortunate to have it here in the shop as a pre-release guitar.
