The MT is the best-selling mandolin model Collings makes and they offer a number of options that take it up a notch or two without making their basic A model too expensive. This example has been upgraded with a gloss top finish, ivoroid binding and an ebony pickguard. Like all Collings instruments, this MT is impeccably crafted. The top is Engelmann spruce and the back and sides are Eastern maple that feature some nice figure. This is a great sounding mandolin with a bright, clear tone and lots of volume.
