This used 2021 D-28 from the workshop luthier Jimmy Edmonds is a deep, resonant and powerful rosewood box in the tradition of the pre-war dreadnoughts. Featuring an Adirondack top over a really stunning set of Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, there's a clarity to the high end and that really cuts through a jam.
Tasteful 28-style appointments include the classic Diamond and Squares inlays, herringbone purfling and ivoroid heel cap and a custom tortoise-style pickguard. Here in excellent condition, there is minor playwear to the finish and pickguard. The finish has begun to sink into the grain of the wood, which we love to see. There is a minor scratch to the headstock veneer, possibly from a string change. Includes a Harptone Hardshell case.
