An outstanding and seldom-seen Strat from the height of Fender’s mid-’90s Custom Shop output — this 1995 Contemporary FMT Stratocaster combines striking looks with top-tier craftsmanship and premium appointments throughout.
Part of a small-run Contemporary series produced by the Custom Shop from 1995–1998, these models were designed to blend modern playability with classic Fender character. The highly figured flame maple top is finished in a vibrant Transparent Green, paired with an alder body and a downsized Strat-style silhouette. It’s lightweight, resonant and beautifully balanced.
Electronics are a versatile HSS layout with a Seymour Duncan JB humbucker in the bridge and Fender Texas Special single coils in the neck and middle positions, giving this Strat an unusually broad tonal range — from glassy Strat chime to punchy, saturated rock tones. The slim-profile neck, 22 medium-jumbo frets and 9.5" radius make for an exceptionally fast and comfortable player.
A factory-fitted Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo completes the package, providing rock-solid tuning stability even with heavy trem use.
This is Custom Shop quality from a particularly creative era at Fender, and an increasingly rare model — especially in this finish and condition.
