This Fender Custom Shop TSG Exclusive ’57 Stratocaster represents a true Tone Shop-designed build, developed during our most recent visit to the Fender Custom Shop. From the wood selection to the neck carve and pickup pairing, every detail was intentionally chosen by our team to deliver a Strat that feels alive in your hands and responds with clarity, warmth, and dynamic range.
Built around a chambered ash body, this guitar offers a more resonant, open voice while reducing overall weight for improved comfort. The deep ’57 body contours enhance ergonomics without sacrificing the classic Strat silhouette. Paired with a Journeyman Relic nitrocellulose finish, the guitar has the broken-in feel of a well-loved vintage instrument without heavy aging.
One of the defining features of this run is the AAA birdseye maple necks that were hand-selected by our team. Carved to a substantial ’57 Soft “V” profile, these necks strike a perfect balance between vintage feel and modern playability. Rolled fingerboard edges, a medium tint nitro finish, and a 9.5" radius with narrow tall frets make this an exceptionally comfortable and inspiring playing experience.
Electronically, this build is loaded with Custom Shop Fat ’50s pickups, delivering classic Strat tones with enhanced low-end warmth, clear highs, and a slightly scooped midrange. Wired with modern Strat wiring and a 5-way switch, this setup provides versatility across clean, edge-of-breakup, and driven tones.
