This 1957Fender 5E4 Tweed "Super-Amp" has all the vintage mojo that comes with a late '50s tweed. The serial number and stamp date the amp to mid-57 making it one of the first to sport the newly introduced "Presence" knob. Powered by a pair of 6L6s, this roots-rock, Americana machine delivers bell-like tones, with an almost 3D quality to the sound. Full, clear with great clean tones and a really satisfying breakup when you dig in.
This amp has been recently serviced by a trusted professional amp tech, re-capped and re-tubed, with proper replacement 10" Weber 10A125 AlNiCo speakers installed. Two conductor power cord has been replaced with a gray 18/3 AWG. AC ground reference cap (aka 'death' cap) has been removed. A new handle has been added that is period correct.
