This vintage Gibson J-45 Banner is a 1942 or '43 and a very nice example of a rare and desirable model. It plays and sounds great and is in Very Good condition. This has the classic, silk screened Gibson logo and "Only Gibson is Good Enough" banner headstock. The original finish is bright and clean, with one nicely repaired top crack along the bottom edge of the pickguard, at the waist area. The tuners are correct, with minor scarring on back of headstock - evidence of non original tuners at some point. The bridge is a reverse belly Gibson from a later era and was most likely installed at Gibson. The bridge bolts line up and there are no extra holes in the original bridge plate. The war-era, non truss rod neck remains nice and straight. The inside of the guitar is nice and clean too. The original frets are low, but nicely dressed. This Gibson J-45 Banner comes with a non-original hard case.
