This is a beautiful Gibson Custom Shop LPR-8, the '58 Les Paul Standard Reissue, finished in a gorgeous Iced Tea Burst over a flame maple top. The '58 Reissue is widely regarded as the benchmark for vintage correct Les Paul construction, faithfully recreating the dimensions, profile and feel of the original 1958 Standards that started the whole Burst legend.
This example features a stunning, evenly flamed maple top with a rich, deep amber to red burst that really pops under light. The mahogany back and neck are finished in a warm cherry red, contrasting beautifully with the top.
Specified with a chunky '50s rounded neck profile and an authentic rosewood fingerboard with cream binding and trapezoid inlays, this guitar feels every bit the part of a genuine late '50s Les Paul. Loaded with PAF style humbuckers, it delivers that creamy, vocal midrange and singing sustain the '58 Reissue is famous for, equally at home for blues, rock or anything in between.
