This Gibson Electric Guitars - 1955 Les Paul Junior is a solid body, electric classic. Featuring a single-cut slab Mahogany body, paired with a single P90 pickup, this Junior model in the Les Paul lineup is very resonant and an easy player. Here in very good condition this '55 sports the large profile C-shaped neck, that is very comfortable to play with minimal fretwear.
The inlay at the 17th fret has been replaced and there is slight bit of tongue rise on the bass side. The anchors, and subsequently the stop tailpiece posts, have compressed the body, and are stable but leaning forward slightly. This is typical for a Gibson of this era. There is a small finish check running from the treble side post to the pickup cavity (see photo). The tuners have been replaced, and the originals are included. Also includes the original brown Alligator chip case.
