This 1981 Les Paul Standard - Heritage Series - "80 Elite" is a Gibson classic, notable as their first take on recapturing the magic of the late '50s burst Les Pauls. Driven by the consumer market at the time, this model, made in the final years of the original Kalamazoo factory, hosts similar features to the vintage era such as the original late 50's neck carve, maple top "dish" carve, headstock shape, and deep neck tenon joint. The Elite models specifically had a beautifully upgraded quilted maple top and a 1-piece mahogany neck that delivers impressive responsiveness and snap.
The now legendary "Shawbuckers," designed by Tim Shaw to model the original PAFs, have a great mid-forward bite and plenty of hot output, perfect for pushing your amp to classic rock tones. This particular model is in Very Good shape, with some dents and playwear from its 40+ years it's had to rock. A fantastic guitar with plenty of '50s heritage and '80s exuberance.
