This used Gibson Mandolins - 1917 F4 is a fantastic example of the two-point scroll body, oval hole build from Gibson. With the exception of a piece of binding on the lower point, replaced with a piece of bone (see photos), this F4 is all original and in good playing condition. However, it does have the expected finish wear and dings for a 101-year-old instrument. There is a shallow, repaired crack in the headstock scroll (see photos), that did not crack the headstock overlay. With a warm, round tone and very distinctive chop this is an easy player that feels good all the way up and down the fingerboard. Includes the original hardshell case.
