The Gibson Songwriter Recording Artist EC combines Gibson’s square-shoulder dreadnought design with tonewoods and construction inspired by the company’s classic Advanced Jumbo models. Built with a thermally aged Sitka spruce top and rosewood back and sides, it delivers a powerful and balanced acoustic voice with strong projection, clarity, and dynamic response suited for both studio recording and live performance.

Handcrafted in Bozeman, Montana, the cutaway body design allows easier access to the upper frets for players who need extended range. A mahogany neck with a comfortable round profile pairs with a bound ebony fingerboard for smooth playability, while Gibson’s scalloped Advanced X-bracing helps the top respond quickly and evenly. The onboard L.R. Baggs HiFi pickup system captures the guitar’s natural acoustic character with excellent note definition and balance when plugged in.
