The Greenhoe GB4 Series is a handcrafted, orchestral-style large bore tenor trombone designed to deliver a broad, resonant sound with excellent projection. Built in the tradition of mid-to-late 20th century professional trombones, this instrument blends classic tonal character with modern playability and customization options.

The GB4 is designed for players seeking the sonic qualities of legendary large bore instruments, while benefiting from modern craftsmanship and versatility. The trombone responds well in all registers and maintains a centered tone at all dynamic levels.

Standard Features

Each GB4 includes a one-piece 8.5-inch lightweight gold brass bell, a .547-inch bore, and yellow brass tuning slide. Greenhoe’s proprietary valve system and handslide with nickel silver crook complete the design, along with two interchangeable yellow brass leadpipes.

Available Options

Optional configurations include gold brass tuning slide, red brass valve tubing, and detachable bell flare. Users can also opt for gold brass or nickel silver handslides, dual bore (.547/.562-inch), or a straight neckpipe for straight trombone conversion.
