A true shredder’s dream, the 1988 Ibanez JEM 77 FP (Floral Pattern) is an iconic Steve Vai signature model, combining high-performance playability with striking aesthetics. Featuring a basswood body wrapped in floral fabric, this early JEM is as much a statement piece as it is a precision-built rock machine.

Loaded with its original DiMarzio PAF Pro (neck & bridge) and DiMarzio JEM Single (middle) pickups, this JEM delivers searing lead tones, articulate cleans, and aggressive bite, making it incredibly versatile. The super-thin maple/walnut neck with a 17” radius rosewood board ensures effortless speed and control, while the Edge tremolo system provides rock-solid tuning stability even under extreme divebombs.

This example is in excellent condition for its age, with only minor signs of use. It plays flawlessly, with no issues, and comes with its original Ibanez hardshell case.

A legendary late 80s shred machine, built for speed, tone, and stage presence. These early JEMs are getting harder to find—available now at Premier Guitars!
