Per Marklund started building his own guitars in 2011 after being completely blown away by a 1937 Martin D18. He builds his guitars from his workshop in Stenberg, Sweden, and has customers from all corners of the world.

Marklund is therefore fascinated by American guitars from the Golden Era, and these guitars have driven him to use the same materials and construction techniques as back then. As a result, Marklund's guitars are exact replicas of these guitars, where the sound, the feel, and the appearance are just right.

This 00045 is inspired by one of the absolute top models from the Golden Era, and Marklund has ensured that the guitar exudes pure class in every respect. The Brazilian rosewood body is breathtakingly beautiful, and the Alpine spruce top is richly decorated with abalone, just like the body, the neck, and the headstock.

In terms of playability and sound, this guitar immediately transports you to bygone times; the neck features a robust V-profile, and the combination of Brazilian rosewood and spruce is unbeatable regarding depth, warmth, and complexity in the sound.

The guitar was completed in 2018, and the underside of the top indicates that Marklund hand-carved the braces in November 2017. The guitar has accumulated some signs of wear and dings here and there, but is undoubtedly in excellent condition. The guitar comes with CITES in a TKL hardshell case.
