This used Martin HD-28 Brazilian from 1986 is a big- and bold-sounding dreadnought that was produced in limited numbers, loaded with high-end appointments, and sounds just phenomenal. This has a Sitka Spruce top and Brazilian Rosewood back and sides that make for an amazing tonal combo. It's nice and open with plenty of middle- and low-end, and a big, voluminous sound - what you'd expect, and more, from a Martin dread.
It has a 25.4" scale length, 1 11/16" nut width, and 2 3/16" string spacing. The Mahogany neck is comfortable and the Ebony fingerboard is nice and clean. Overall in Very Good condition, the top has its share of pecker marks, and the back some buckle rash, but all in all this is a fantastic looking player with a lot of life left. Its appointments include a tortoiseshell pickguard; Herringbone purfling; a Style 28 rosette; zig-zag backstrip; and mother-of-pearl Style 28 fingerboard inlays. A fantastic dreadnought overall, this Martin HD-28 Brazilian simply sounds wonderful. Includes its original hardshell case.
