This Martin Acoustic Guitars - 1917 1-26 is identical in detail to a 1-28 other than the coral snake purfling rather herringbone. The guitar has a nicely made newer pyramid bridge. The inside is nice and clean and the Brazilian rosewood is straight grained and very pretty. The minor finish work around the bridge is nicely done. The slot head tuners look similar, work very well but are not a match. The neck angle is very good and the bar frets are in good condition. Though an early guitar this guitar has a nice stiff top and handles light gauge steel strings easily. This guitar is ready to pick up and play. Non-original newer case.
