This 2021 D-28 Authentic is an upgraded Martin Custom Shop build based around the pre-war 1937 D-28s. Featuring an Adirondack Spruce Top treated with Martin's signature Vintage Tone System (VTS) which producess a dry, focused sound that, when paired with the East Indian Rosewood back & sides, also hosts a robust low-end perfect for strummers and pickers. This Authentic includes 1937 vintage-inspired construction details like forward-shifted, scalloped Adirondack bracing and hide glue construction which contribute to that classic tone.
Arriving here in very goodcondition, this authentic has a couple small dents to the top, some scuffing on the lower back side. A strap button on the heel has been installed along with a K&K Pure Mini pickup for playing out. This dread delivers a timeless sound at an incredible bargain when compared to the vintage originals. Includes a replacement Martin hardshell case.
