This Martin Custom Shop 000 28 Style is a Tone Shop–spec build designed to hit a very specific balance—classic Martin voicing with upgraded responsiveness, visual character, and a more player-focused feel. Built around the 000 platform, it delivers a focused, articulate voice with strong fundamentals and a level of control that works just as well for fingerstyle as it does for light to moderate flatpicking.

At the core is an Adirondack spruce top paired with hand-selected Wild Grain East Indian rosewood back and sides. Adirondack brings headroom, quick response, and clarity when pushed, while the rosewood adds depth, low-end warmth, and a layered overtone character. The result is a voice that stays composed under attack but still opens up with nuance and detail when played lightly.

The Golden Era scalloped bracing with hand shaping helps the top move more freely, giving the guitar a more immediate, lively response under the hands. Combined with the 24.9" scale length and 000 body size, it creates a feel that is comfortable and controlled without sacrificing projection.
