PRS Custom 24 10-Top Dark Cherry Burst, 2025 [USED]

Here we have an excellent condition, all original PRS Custom 24 10-Top in Dark Cherry Sunburst with case built during 2025 at the Stevensville, MD plant.   It plays and sounds as good as it looks, the 'Pattern Thin' profile and 10-inch fingerboard radius are very comfortable. 

The original molded rectangular PRS hard shell case is included, and contains the COA, trem arm, truss rod adjustment tool, and hang tags. 

As a 'Custom' model, the included cards show that the custom spec is the 10-Top.  The PRS top grading of '10' roughly corresponds to an 'AAAA' rating, but in proprietary terms means that the figure is pronounced, clearly defined and with no areas where the figure disappears. 

The PRS Custom 24 is the direct descendant of the original PRS model, with the elegantly distinctive shape and classic Maple and Mahogany construction, 25 inch scale and 10 degree head pitch. Produced since 1985, the Custom 24 offers excellent playability and highly versatile tonal options.

Materials and Construction

The PRS Custom 24 10-Top uses the proven combination of a solid and highly figured, carved, bookmatched, maple top on a Mahogany back, paired with a Mahogany neck via a set neck joint.  The fingerboard is Rosewood, typically East Indian Rosewood as seen here but on some special runs is Brazilian.  The 'bird' position markers are synthetic abalone. 

The body has the appearance of binding, but what is seen is the hand-scraped edge of the Maple top.  Before finishing, the sides and back of the body are masked, the top stained and sealed, and then the edge of the top is hand-scraped to produce the 'binding' effect.  Once this is done, the masking is removed and finishing proceeds.  PRS long ago mastered the art of finishing and reliably produce excellent results. 

For hardware, the reliable PRS Gen III vintage style trem is stock on this example, and the stock PRS Phase III locking tuners are at the head. 

Electronics start with a pair of PRS DMO (Dynamic, Musical, Open) humbuckers run through master volume and tone controls, a 5 way switch for pickup selection and the output jack on the side.
