The Martin 0-28VS is a modern take on the classic 12-fret 0-28 models from the late 1920s. Crafted with an Indian rosewood body and a Sitka spruce top, this guitar showcases scalloped bracing and vintage-inspired Herringbone details. It's the most compact full-scale guitar Martin has produced in recent years, making it a great option for comfortable playing at home, songwriting, or even on the go.
Key features include a slotted headstock, pyramid bridge, ivoroid bindings, and a high-gloss lacquer finish. The guitar is equipped with a modified V-shaped neck, a 1-7/8” nut width, and a 24.9” scale length. Its construction includes a dovetail neck joint, small bridge plate, and a lightweight build.
This 0-28VS is equipped with an after-market L.R. Baggs Anthem pickup, which combines a microphone and undersaddle element to deliver a natural and dynamic amplified sound. The Anthem pickup system offers excellent feedback resistance, allowing players to perform at higher volumes without compromising tone quality.
In excellent condition, this guitar shows minimal signs of use. The frets are virtually untouched, and the finish remains nearly perfect, with just a few fine lines in the lacquer on the top that are hardly visible to the naked eye.
With a warm, responsive sound that balances punch and expressiveness, this guitar excels in fingerstyle across a variety of genres and is also a joy for flatpicking lead lines.
