Here is a classic 1965 Fender Electric XII, a distinctive twelve-string model introduced to meet the growing demand for rich, chiming textures during the mid-1960s. Built with an offset alder body inspired by the Jazzmaster and Jaguar designs, it features an oversized headstock and Fender’s innovative approach to 12-string electric guitar design.
This example features dual split-coil pickups with individual volume and tone controls, designed to reduce hum while maintaining clarity and articulation across all twelve strings. It also includes a three-way selector switch for a range of tonal options, from shimmering rhythm textures to more focused, articulate voices. The neck pickup cover is currently missing, with replacement covers included in the sale.
A key highlight is Fender’s synchronised bridge system with individual saddles for each string, paired with a floating tailpiece, providing excellent tuning stability and precise intonation. The medium C-shaped neck profile offers a comfortable, familiar feel with strong playability across the fretboard.
Condition is excellent for its age, retaining its original sunburst finish with only minimal wear. A unique detail includes a previous owner’s social security number lightly engraved on the neck, adding an unusual piece of history.
