Here is a 1955 Gibson Les Paul Junior in Vintage Sunburst, a classic mid-’50s example of Gibson’s stripped-back student model that became one of the most influential rock guitars of its era. Built with a solid mahogany body and simple single-cut design, the Junior was created for direct, no-frills performance, with a single dog-ear P90 delivering its unmistakable raw voice.
This example retains its original tuners and frets, with a replaced nut and later-added gold speed knobs. The electronics show period-correct work, with mid-1970s dated replacement pots and a shielded control cavity, while the original 1950s pots and pickup cover are preserved in the original case. The guitar is fitted with a single P90 that delivers the expected aggressive midrange bite, clarity, and dynamic response the model is known for.
Condition is good with heavy finish checking throughout, consistent with decades of use, along with natural wear that reflects its long playing history. A well-preserved and honest vintage Les Paul Junior with original character and strong player appeal. Comes with the original gator-skin hard shell case and original 1950s electronics and pickup cover included.
