• Combination of Brilliance and Mellow Timbres: The YFL-697H model combines the brilliance of nickel silver with the mellow timbres of sterling silver.
• Redesigned Mechanism: The instrument features a redesigned mechanism that includes a split E key, which is now available as an option on all Yamaha professional flutes.
• Hand-finished Headjoint: All models come with a beautifully hand-finished sterling silver headjoint based on the Handmade Flute’s Type A design. It offers a wider expressive range, easier response, and excellent balance across the instrument’s entire range.
• Straubinger Phoenix™ Pads: The 600 series flutes feature Straubinger Phoenix™ Pads, which provide a precise seal, quick response, wide dynamic range, and longer life in adjustment. They allow for a softer touch while maintaining superior performance.
• 0.43mm Wall Thickness: The 600 series flutes have a standard wall thickness of 0.43mm, which, combined with the hand-finished headjoint and Straubinger Phoenix™ Pads, offers excellent balance and a warm, beautiful sound.
• Pinless Left-hand Key System: The flute utilizes the “pinless left-hand key system” for improved high F-F# key operation and easier maintenance.
• Acoustic Annealing: The headjoint, body, and footjoint undergo an annealing process that allows the instrument to vibrate more freely, providing optimal response and resonance.
